Councilette, Teen Yellow Pages & More

I first learned of NCJW from my friend’s mother, Jennie Jones, who was President in the 1950’s. I became a Councilette at that time and am still friends with several present day members with whom I share Councilette memories.

During my business years, and raising a family, I was always a Council member.  We attended many Angel Balls, wearing our best finery and interacting with Councilettes.

Some 12 to 14 years ago, I became a Life Member and was elected to the Board, of which I am still a member.  My first position on the Board was to create, with the late Marsha Zucker, a Teen Yellow Pages. This was a daunting task since it had never been done before.  However, we selected a dedicated Committee who worked diligently and were most successful in this task, which still continues to this day.

NCJW will always remain a special part of my life.
