How I Came to NCJW

I was fortunate to know the extraordinary Jo Wiener through my close friendship with her daughter, Sarah, so I knew from the day I retired I would become an NCJW member. I had the chutzpah to call then President Judy Rosenberg and ask for a ride downtown because it was Council’s National Convention.  She did not know me at all but kindly said, “Come along.” Another incentive to my joining was a bus tour of NCJW sites with Joyce Rubenstein as my guide. She was gracious and friendly, but I soon learned she was typical of all NCJW women. What an honor to work with them as a Board member and participate in and chair so many wonderful events for the past 23 years!
