NCJW and WISDOM

I have wonderful memories of the Joint Interfaith Community Service event between NCJW Women’s Interfaith Solutions for Dialogue and Outreach in MetroDetroit, of which I am a co-founder. On Sunday, December 11, 2011, we partnered with Rush Trucking to pack meals for Kids Against Hunger. Coming together in Wayne, Michigan, we packed hundreds of dry food meals to send to hungry families in the United States and in Africa.

I also have fond memories of being honored by the NCJW as a Woman of Vision in 2013. I received the Josephine S. Weiner Award for Community Service for my work with WISDOM in interfaith initiatives. It was such a wonderful honor for me, and part of the reason I decided to come on the Board of Directors and continue.
